- In an IRIX shell, _r_e_b_o_o_t halts and then restarts the system in an orderly
- fashion. It is useful after changing the configuration of the system.
- You must have superuser privilege to use this command. If you are
- remotely logged in to the system, you are prompted to confirm the reboot.

- To halt the system before turning it off, use _h_a_l_t(1M) or _s_h_u_t_d_o_w_n(1M)
- instead of _r_e_b_o_o_t.
